Rifles Only will be teaming up with Hammer Creek LLC to bring you the latest in techniques for using a tripod in varied terrain. Maintenance, deployment, and use of the tripod will be the meat of this course. Tripods are essential gear for proper application of the precision rifle in areas that may or may not present a stable position. This course will start with the application of the fundamentals of marksmanship then move right into using the tripod in multiple configurations. Hammer Creek LLC brings real world training to you in this portion of the course. The lead instructor for Hammer Creek is a former Special Forces sniper with multiple deployments and vast experience in the application of the tripod for success.
This course will take place in Fort Collins, CO. Your rifle will need to be suppressed for the course. If you do not have a suppressor please let us know ahead of time. We require this in Colorado to be kind to the neighbors.
Equipment needed for this course:
308 Rifle or other short action caliber capable of one minute of angle (recommended), ammunition, bipod, tripod with rifle attachment capability - hog saddle, RRS, Picatinney or ARCA attachment. If you do not have a tripod we do have some avaible for rent. Camelback or other water system (3 liters worth of water), durable boots or footwear, easily adjustable scope, eye and ear protection, hat or ball cap, leather or nylon precision rifle sling (not a carry strap), light weight rucksack or backpack with lots of pockets to carry all gear, long sleeved shirts and long pants, rear bag, rifle, sling, sunscreen/sunblock, small spiral notebook or log book.
