This course will run 3 days and will spend the majority of the time angle long distance shooting. This class will be heavy on fundamentals, positional, platform building, and alternate positions.
This course will take place on 3 mountain ranges west of Fort Collins, Colorado. Information and more details will be given upon registration for this class.

You may encounter weather extremes to include:

  • heat
  • rain
  • snow
  • hail
  • high winds
  • or possibly the best weather ever :)

Targets will range from 100-1500 yards.

 

**Important Notice: This is not a basic course. The student needs to be well aware of how their equipment works. A solid understanding of the rifle and scope is a must. Prior instruction in precision rifle will be necessary to insure that the student is able to move to advanced rifle concepts. 
**The student must be able to move well while carrying gear on wildlife trails as well as bushwacking approximately a mile with 1000 feet of mountainous elevation gain. 
**Rifle must be suppressed or at least have the capability to be suppressed

Training Topics: Alternate Position Shooting, Alternate Support, Fundamentals, Gear Selection, Range estimation, Safety, Sling Use, Target Detection, Trajectory & Wind Compensation

Equipment List: 308 rifle or other short action caliber capable of one minute of angle (recommended), Ammunition, Bipod, Calculator, Camelback Or Other Water System (3 liters worth of water), Cleaning Equipment for all firearms, Easily Adjustable scope, Eye And Ear Protection, Leather or Nylon Precision Rifle Sling (Not A Carry Strap), Light weight Rucksack or Backpack with lots of pockets to carry all gear, Long Sleeved Shirts and Long Pants, Pen, Pencil, Highlighter, and Black Marker, Rear Bag, Sling, Two small spiral notebooks or one rifle data book

If you choose to not pay in full for the course and select a payment option of 1/2 or 1/4th, the remaining balance for the course is due by the first day of class. You can choose to call and make additional payments of 1/2 or 1/4th, or pay in full the remaining balance.
